Heljan ‘O’ gauge Class 47 first shots

 

The first engineering sample of the Heljan ‘O’ gauge Class 47 has been revealed showing progress on this all-new release for 7mm scale. Delivery to Heljan retailers is expected in late 2020.

The sample is subject to revisions and shows the Version 3B of the model which replicates high-intensity headlight fitted locomotives with ETH equipment and no boiler tanks. Heljan is also modelling the locomotives in original condition with glazed headcode panels and steam heating boilers (Version 2) and no-heat versions with headlights (Version 3A).

Heljan has also confirmed the liveries for its ‘O’ gauge Class 47. Version 2 will be available in BR two-tone green with small yellow warning panels (Cat No. 4850), BR two-tone green with full yellow ends (4851) and BR blue with full yellow ends (4852). Version 3 will be released in BR blue with full yellow ends (4860), BR ‘large logo’ blue (4861), Railfreight red stripe grey (4862), Railfreight triple grey (4863), BR ‘Dutch’ grey and yellow (4864), BR parcels sector red and grey (4865), BR InterCity Executive (4866) and Network SouthEast colours (4867).
