Heljan confirms Class 86/0 identities

 

Heljan has confirmed the identities and liveries of its forthcoming ‘OO’ gauge BR Class 86/0 (AL6) Bo-Bo electric locomotives, having completed pre-production artwork.

Seven models are planned as E3104 in original plain BR electric blue with white cab roof (Cat. No 8650), E3114 in BR electric blue with small yellow panels and white cab roof (8651), E3178 in BR electric blue with full yellow ends and white cab roof (8652), E3146 in BR blue with white cab roof (8653), E3156 in BR blue  (8654), 86036 in BR blue (8655) and 86034 in weathered BR blue (8656).

 

Heljan’s all-new model will have all-wheel drive and pick-up, directional lighting, 21-pin Digital Command Control (DCC) decoder socket, NEM coupling sockets and new metal pantograph. The manufacturer has also taken delivery of a hand-decorated sample.

Prices are set at £189.95 each, with delivery anticipated in 2020.
