Dapol shows latest ‘O’ gauge samples

 

Dapol has released images of the latest decorated samples of its ‘O’ gauge GWR ’14XX’ 0-4-2T and BR 8ton Banana van.

The ’14XX’ is due to be released in early 2020 offering GWR and BR liveries and covering the ’48XX’, ’14XX’ and non-auto fitted ’58XX’ number series. The specification includes a die-cast running plate, die-cast wheels, compensation, a 21-pin decoder socket, firebox flicker, sprung buffers and more. Prices are start at £225 for a DCC ready version rising to £400 for DCC sound models.

Also breaking cover are decorated samples of the BR 8ton Banana van for ‘O’ gauge. It is being released with two running numbers on BR early and late bauxite liveries with either Fyffes or Geest brading and yellow spots. The vans follow on from Dapol’s highly popular BR 12ton box vans and features the same chassis coupled with turned metal wheels, sprung three-link couplings and sprung buffers. The banana vans are priced at £49.95 with release anticipated in late 2019.
