Cavalex reveals Class 91 renders and spec

 

Cavalex Models has revealed the first 3D CAD renders of its new ‘OO’ gauge model of the Class 91 Bo-Bo electric as well as annoucning prices and its specification.

The new Class 91 will cover both Class 91/0 and Class 91/1 variations with prices set at £179.99 for DCC ready versions and £259.99 for DCC sound fitted models. Sound will be provided by Legomanbiffo using an EM2 speaker.

The specification for the locomotive includes day and night lighting modes, flush glazing, scale speed gearing, sprung buffers and correct nose griles for the locomotive. Cavalex is also working on the pantograph, couplings and a simple DCC installation which doesn’t require the body to be removed.

Four locomotives have been selected for the first production run modelling 91003 in InterCity Swallow colours, 91124 Reverend W Awdry in GNER blue, 91116 in LNER red and white and 91119 Bounds Green InterCity Depot 1977-2017 in its current InterCity scheme.
