Ellis Clark develops Thompson corridor stock for ‘O’ gauge

Ellis Clark Trains and Darstaed are developing a new collection of ‘O’ gauge LNER Thompson corridor carriages for release in 2020.

The new range will focus on the post-war 63ft designs with a choice of square and round corner window frames. They will be available in LNER faux varnished teak, BR crimson and cream and BR lined maroon. Vehicle types for production are the Third Corridor, Brake Third Corridor, Brake Composite Corridor, First Corridor, Restaurant First Kitchen, Restaurant Third Open and Gangway Brake.

Prices are set at £199 per coach, with the teak liveried vehicle prices to be confirmed. The specification includes a die-cast chassis, compensated bogies, etched brass sides, interior detail and lighting, optional plug-in tail lamps for brake coaches, magnetic corridor connections, suitable for second radius curves, sprung buffers and a sheet of numbers for customer application.
