Heljan shows narrow gauge Baldwin 2-4-2T CADs

 

The first CAD drawing images of Heljan’s new ‘OO9’ gauge model of Lynton & Barnstaple Railway (L&BR) Baldwin 2-4-2T Lyn have been revealed by the manufacturer.

The drawings allow changes to the locomotive during its private and Southern Railway owned operation including different headlamps, safety valves, smokebox doors and tank filler hatches.

Heljan has also confirmed the livery choices for the model and has stated that there are further modifications to be made to the drawings before tooling starts.

Undecorated works black  – Cat No. 9980
Lyn, L&BR dark olive green (pre-1906) – Cat No. 9981
Lyn, L&BR dark olive green (post-1906) – Cat No. 9982
E762 Lyn, SR (ex-L&BR) dark olive green – Cat No. 9983
E762 Lyn, SR green (pre-1932) – Cat No. 9984
E762 Lyn, SR green (post-1932) – Cat No. 9985
