Revolution’s IWA for ‘OO’

Revolution Trains has revealed that its next ‘OO’ gauge ready-to-run project is the IWA bogie ferry van, which will also include the later log-carrying variant.

Built in Germany in the late 1980s, these distinctive covered vehicles feature two-piece integral sides together with sliding hoods and have carried a wide variety of goods including aluminium, bottled water, fertiliser, steel and much more. 30 vehicles were later converted for timber-carrying operations.

Models planned include IWA ferry vans (UIC: Sfins2) in Norsk Hydro and Cargowaggon colour schemes and a timber-carrier (UIC: Rfnoos) in Touax livery.

Currently at the design stage, the order book is expected to open once CAD work has been completed. Prices and delivery dates have yet to be confirmed.
