Heljan reveals latest Class 25/3 sample

Heljan has received the latest engineering samples of its new ‘OO’ gauge model of the Class 25/3 and has confirmed that it is working on the artwork to allow the project to move forward to decoration.

The latest samples show refined detail together with a new finer radiator grille mesh. The models will have directional lighting, a 21-pin decoder socket and a twin-flywheel five-pole motor plus NEM coupling pockets at each end.

Release of the new 25/3 is expected before the end of 2019 with 12 versions planned covering as built 1960s BR two-tone green locomotives, BR blue and ETHEL train heating locomotives. The two samples show the original roof arrangement with a circular exhaust on the green sample and the later modified exhaust port on the black sample.
