Hornby Visitor Centre Class 395

 

Southeastern Hitachi Class 395 ‘Javelin’ EMU 395013 has been named Hornby Visitor Centre at the Ramsgate Engineering Open Day on June 8 2019.

The four-car unit was named at the event by David Statham, Managing Director, Southeastern Railway, Mark Johnson Engineering Director also of Southeastern Railway and Lyndon Davies, CEO of Hornby Hobbies Ltd.

At the event, Hornby revealed that it would be making a ‘OO’ gauge model of the unit for release in January 2020 priced at £159.99 (Cat No. R3813) as a four-car train pack. The unit will be DCC ready with an 8-pin socket in each driving car to power the motor and lights using Hornby’s existing tooling for the Class 395.
