DJ Models closes

Ready-to-run ‘OO’ and ‘N’ gauge model manufacturer DJ Models has announced its closure as of June 4 2019, and has entered receivership.

The manufacturer issued the following statement on its website:

“It is with great sadness that DJModels Ltd has now closed and is in receivership (4th June 2019). Both DJModels e-mail addresses (‘nthusiast@’, and ‘info@’) are now out of use, and all aspects of DJModels Ltd are all in the control of the receivers, CG-recovery of Manchester.”

It has produced models including a Hunslet ‘Austerity’ 0-6-0ST and crowd-funded Class 71 Bo-Bo third-rail electric for ‘OO’ gauge together with a ‘Mermaid’ ballast tippler in ‘N’ gauge. It also worked with Hatton’s to produce the GWR ’14XX’ 0-4-2T, Kernow Model Rail Centre on projects including the Adams ‘O2’ 0-4-4T.
