Hatton’s receives decorated ‘O’ 37/4 samples

Hatton’s has received decorated samples of its exclusive limited edition ‘O’ gauge Class 37/4s from Heljan. The pair, sold separately, model 37401 Mary Queen of Scots and 37408 Loch Rannoch in BR ‘large logo’ blue.

The era chosen for the two English Electric Type 3s – which will use Heljan’s new tooling for the 37/4 variant – is the 1980s when they were in service on the West Highland line between Glasgow, Fort William and Mallaig. Hatton’s has said that there will be revisions to the livery before production including correction of the black headcode box area on 37408.

The price per model is £549 with delivery expected in May/June 2019. The specification includes twin motors, directional lighting, a heavy die-cast chassis, full bufferbeam detail and optional miniature snowploughs.
