Dapol receives ‘O’ gauge ’14XX’ first shot

 

The first full engineering sample of Dapol’s new ‘O’ gauge model of the GWR ’14XX’ 0-4-2T has been received from the factory.

The sample is currently being inspected by the Dapol team for corrections with livery samples are expected soon.

The model is planned for release in third quarter of 2019 in a choice of GWR and BR liveries covering ’48XX’ and ’14XX’ auto-fitted locomotives plus ’58XX’ non-auto fitted engines. The specification contains a die-cast running plate, die-cast wheels, flickering firebox effect, removable cab roof, sprung buffers, working couplings and more.

Prices are set at £225 for DCC ready versions, £250 for DCC fitted models and £400 for DCC sound fitted examples.
