Great Electric Train Show line up expands

Carl Woodward’s stunning ‘N’ gauge exhibition layout Vale of Oxbury is joining the line up for the 2018 Great Electric Train Show which will take place at the Arena MK in Milton Keynes on October 13/14.

Also newly announced for the 2018 line up is Marcus Lambert’s Talbot Lane TMD modelling a 2000s period diesel depot scene in ‘OO’ gauge and Brad Seaman’s impressive 45ft x 14ft model of Whitby West Cliff and its surrounding viaducts on the North Yorkshire coast line in ‘OO’. This layout has recently been upgraded to digital sound operation (HM111).

These three new additions bring the total line up revealed so far to 18 layouts with 12 more to be announced in the run up to the show. The event is also attracting an increasing number of traders with highlights including Hornby Hobbies, Hatton’s Model Railways, Irish Railway Models, Kernow Model Rail Centre, TMC Direct, Cheltenham Model Centre, Grimy Times, ADM Turntables, Skytrex, H&A Models, Ten Commandments, DC Kits, Digitrains, Green Scene and more. Advance tickets are on sale now for the event priced at £9 for adults and £7 for children (age 5-16 – under 5s go free with a paying adult). On the day tickets cost £12 for adults and £9 for children (age 5-16). Refreshments will be available at Arena MK and a shuttle bus will be operating between Milton Keynes railway station and the venue on both days of the Great Electric Train Show.
