Heljan plans headcode ’20’ for ‘O’

Heljan has announced that it will be producing the centre headcode version of the Class 20 for ‘O’ gauge as a follow up to its 2010 released disc headcode model.

The new Class 20 is targeted for release in September/October 2017 with a price of £599 per locomotive.

Six versions are planned on the new tooling covering BR green with small yellow warning panels (Cat No. 2010), BR green with full yellow ends (2011), BR blue with full yellow ends in pre-TOPS condition (2012), BR blue with full yellow ends in post-TOPS condition and domino headcodes (2013), BR blue with full yellow ends and weathering (2014) and BR Railfreight red stripe grey (2015). All will be unnumbered.

Also announced for ‘O’ gauge by Heljan for release in 2018 is the Class 50 which is expected to cover only refurbished locomotives. Livery and pricing have yet to be announced for this model.
