First look: Hatton’s ‘Warwell’ wagon for ‘OO’


Hatton’s has revealed the first engineering sample of its ‘OO’ gauge model of the 1942 introduced ‘Warwell’. The 50ton well wagon is due to be released in the fourth quarter of 2017 with versions covering the vehicles in original and modified condition.

The first samples are to be subjected to further detailing on the sides following approval of the fit and shape of the main parts, but the models shown here cover the as built ‘Warwell’, ‘Warwell’ with modified bolster supports, ‘Warwell’ with false deck and a post-1970s version with Gloucester GPS bogies.

The ‘Warwell’ wagons are available to order through priced at £33 for a pristine example and £37 for a weathered model.
