Hornby has launched full details of its 2017 range today revealing the full content of its new catalogue.
The range is headlined by brand new models of the Stanier ‘Duchess’ 4-6-2, Wainwright ‘H’ 0-4-4T, BR Class 87 Bo-Bo overhead electric and Hitachi Class 800 multiple units alongside two new BR Mk 1 carriages – the Brake Second Open and First Open – and a GWR ‘Toad’ brake van, all to ‘OO’ gauge.
Joining this impressive range of new tooling are extensive listings from Hornby’s existing portfolio. On the steam front 40 new locomotives are planned (including three ‘Duchess’ 4-6-2s and four ‘H’ 0-4-4Ts), 14 new diesel and electric locomotives, expansion of the Twin Track Sound range new train sets, 63 new carriages and 40 new goods wagons.
Also expanding is the RailRoad range which will see the addition of four locomotives in the ‘B17′ 4-6-0 with a re-engineered chassis, the GWR ’14XX’ 0-4-2T, Class 73 Bo-Bo electro-diesel and Class 90 Bo-Bo overhead electric. The former Airfix Lowmac wagon is also to join RailRoad in 2017.
Completing the catalogue is a new range of Skaledale buildings to expand the manufacturer’s town and country series.
