Stanier ‘Mogul’ first sample

Bachmann has revealed the first engineering prototype of its ‘OO’ Stanier ‘Mogul – a model which is due to be released this autumn.

The model is set to feature pick ups on the driving and tender wheels, a highly detailed cab interior, AWS equipment on later period models and riveted and flush tender styles. A 21-pin DCC decoder will be positioned in the tender with the motor and gearbox contained within the locomotive.

Three models will be released initially: 2965 in LMS lined black (Cat No. 31-690), 42969 in BR lined black with early crests (31-691) and 42968, the preserved example at the Severn Valley Railway, in BR lined black with late crests (31-692).
